We Are Animals Too

This season of Covid has been a time of deepening my relationships with my two dogs, Maggie and Rosie. As I notice how frequently animals appear in these submissions, I am convinced that we have a deep need to reconnect with our own animal nature. In the infancy of our human journey, we shared our world with many other animals. And in childhood we are naturally inclined to love the animals that we discover in children's literature, and in the real world. During times of crisis we are drawn back again to our primal roots in nature, and our childlike relationships with animals.
