Chair of Elijah

Tom Nordgren's "A Prayer for the Cue" brought to mind this kiddie chair barnacled with bones, uncooked corn and rice, and a tired old prophet ready for some form of rejuvenation. Have long been allured by the Jewish tradition of leaving a chair empty for Elijah's return.... how emptiness can hold the promise of a different future.
