Oil Pastels

This is an oil pastel creation of a brown trout, one of Colorado’s many trout species. 

During the pandemic, fishing has become the past time of many new people. During this pandemic, in order to cope, fishing was my go-to habit. Brown trout are very aggressive and put up a fight. This makes fishing for them fun. And that’s just what I need during this time is fun. 

Fish also had a hard year where I am from, due to drought. Colorado Gold for me illustrates the treasure I am chasing during the pandemic and these hard times.
