I wrote “Another Year” in June of 2020 as the crescendo of COVID-19 was in full swing. My initial plan was to write a compilation of 24 songs that would be titled “2021”, which is/was my perception of what 2021 will be like. “Another Year” was the first song in the set and was written about how I pictured midnight on New Year’s Eve in New York City and the mayhem that may be overtaking our country then. The video was self-produced in July 2020.
